One side of this would not stay down and come on. The problem was due to the toaster not having it's crumb trays cleared regularly enough. Opened the toaster up and there was a build-up of compressed crumbs in the mechanism, preventing the thermal latch from fully closing, thus the bread slices would not stay down. After a thorough clean, it was fine. The toast wasn't bad either !
